FAQ
Before you trust the memory, inspect its edges.
These answers describe the prototype as it exists now. Features that are not implemented are marked by phase and never presented as live.
What is Banyan?
Banyan is a prototype for persistent AI-agent memory. It preserves selected facts, decisions and preferences so a later session can start with useful context.
Is the demo connected to a real AI agent?
No. Planner and Builder are simulated sessions in the same browser. A real external-client connection is part of Phase 2 or Phase 3.
Where does demo memory live?
Only in this browser's local storage. There is no server, database, account or cross-device sync.
Is the demo memory encrypted?
No. The prototype does not claim encryption. Do not enter secrets or sensitive personal information.
What does the fingerprint prove?
A match shows that the current fingerprinted fields equal the fields saved with the record. It does not establish factual accuracy, authorship or trustworthiness.
Why does a simulated session see the same memory?
Both sessions share one browser workspace. That demonstrates the intended handoff experience, not a live network connection.
How do I remove the demo data?
Use Clear demo memory in the workspace. Clearing this browser's site data also removes the local record.
Can I use the $Banyan token now?
No. $Banyan has not been issued yet. There is no contract address, price or trading venue to verify.
Why is Robinhood mentioned on the token page?
Robinhood is the project-provided planned network for a future token. It is not part of the memory demo, and no launch date has been announced.
